Show your support to save Ballard Rail by attending our march!
Location: Gemenskap Park
5910 14th Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107
Time: 1 pm
We will start at Gemenskap Park in Ballard. We will then walk to a midpoint W Dravus St & 17th Ave W and end at the Beach at Expedia Group near Smith Cove.
Nope! You can show up near the starting point (Gemenskap Park) to show your support or just show up at the end point (the Beach at Expedia Group). You can also bail and take the D line if you get tired of walking.
Please note: The D line is not a suitable alternative for the light rail. We need a reliable mode of transit which doesn’t get delayed when the Ballard bridge goes up.
We will be marching this route as it was one of the routes for the proposed light rail station. Let’s walk along the path and imagine what life would look like with the light rail.
Bring your best walking shoes, some snacks, and your friends and family! Maybe a rain coat if there is a drizzle..

There are businesses on the way who will have water available for us protestors. They want the light rail too 😀
